Effective Date: 08/10/2026
Our Commitment
Slow Current Psychotherapy, PLLC is committed to making our website and our services usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. Access to mental health care shouldn't depend on whether a website works with your assistive technology.
Standards We Aim For
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
Steps we take include:
Providing text alternatives for meaningful images
Maintaining sufficient color contrast between text and background
Ensuring the site can be navigated by keyboard
Using clear headings and a logical reading order
Writing in plain, readable language
Ensuring forms have properly associated labels
Ongoing Effort
Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time fix. We review our site periodically and work to address issues as we find them. Some third-party content or embedded tools may not be fully within our control, though we make reasonable efforts to select accessible vendors.
Accommodations for Services
If you need an accommodation to access our services — including but not limited to materials in an alternative format, a sign language interpreter, adjustments to session format, or assistance completing intake paperwork — please let us know. We will work with you to identify a reasonable accommodation.
