Welcome. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of slowcurrentpsychotherapy.com (the "Site"), operated by Slow Current Psychotherapy, PLLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.

If You Are in Crisis

This Site is not monitored for emergencies. Email, contact forms, voicemail, and social media messages are not checked continuously and may not receive a response for some time.

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or are concerned about your immediate safety or someone else's:

The Site Is Educational, Not Clinical Care

Content on this Site — including service descriptions, blog posts, resources, and answers to frequently asked questions — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not psychotherapy, clinical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified health care professional about your particular situation.

Using this Site, sending us a message, or requesting a consultation does not create a therapist-client relationship. A professional relationship is established only after we have met, determined that the practice is an appropriate fit for your needs, and completed the informed consent and intake process together.

Licensure and Geographic Scope

Taylor Manfredi is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in the State of North Carolina. Psychotherapy services — including telehealth — may be provided only to clients physically located in a state where the clinician holds a valid license or authorization to practice at the time of the session. If you are located outside of those states, we will do our best to offer a referral, but we cannot provide services to you.

Third-Party Links

The Site may include links to third-party websites and resources offered for your convenience. We do not control these sites, do not endorse their content, and are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, privacy practices, or any harm arising from your use of them. Once you leave the Site, these Terms no longer apply.

Testimonials and Client Privacy

Consistent with our professional ethical obligations, we do not solicit or publish testimonials from current or former psychotherapy clients. Any quotations appearing on the Site are from non-client sources such as professional colleagues or supervisees, used with permission.

Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, illustrations, design elements, and downloadable materials (collectively, the "Content") — is owned by or licensed to Slow Current Psychotherapy, PLLC, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may view, print, or download Content for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or sell any Content without our prior written permission. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Site to:

Once a therapeutic relationship is established, secure communication will take place through our client portal.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slow Current Psychotherapy, PLLC and its owner, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your access to or use of the Site, including reliance on any Content.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability arising from the provision of professional clinical services. These Terms govern your use of the website only; the terms of your clinical care are governed separately by your informed consent and intake agreement.

Changes to the Site and These Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site, and may update these Terms, at any time. Updated Terms will be posted here with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
